What does it mean when a group order "tips"?

A group order "tips" when enough orders have been placed before the countdown reaches zero and the group order link closes. Your group order needs to "tip" first before it can move to production and shipping. If it doesn’t tip, the order doesn't push through, and no one gets charged.

Behind the scenes, tipping exists to make sure everyone in the group gets the best possible price and that we can actually produce the exact merch you chose:

  • Some items (like made-to-order FP exclusives in specific colors) require a minimum number of orders so we can run a custom production just for your group.
  • Other items that use embroidery or DTF printing can technically be ordered in very small quantities, but the price per piece will be higher at those low quantities.

Tipping helps unlock better pricing altogether. When you click on the group order link, the order count per item is shown in real-time.

As an example: the minimum order for the white sweatpants below is 40. When you click on the product, there’ll be a note showing how many have been ordered so far, and how many more orders need to be placed before the group order tips.
